This is the real deal, folks. An authentic 1963/64 Stratocaster with highly sought-after yellow stamped potted black bottom pickups, in very good condition, for just 23500 Euros. It comes with the original tremolo bar (not yet shown in images), the original backplate, two original tremolo springs, and the CITES certification. Weighing in at 3510g, it sounds and plays wonderfully. Aside from one replaced tuner and a professional refret, everything else is original.

At one point, a few lacquer chips on the bottom and sides were touched up, but this additional lacquer has since been removed. All solder points are original. The neck is dated 2DEC63B, the pickups are from March 1964, and the pots are 304-6338. Due to the shrinkage of the pickguard, the 3-way switch is somewhat stiff to operate. This, however, is a common issue with such models.

This guitar was professionally refretted with Jescar narrow tall stainless steel frets, done so without causing any fretboard chipping or thinning. Why stainless steel? It doesn’t change the tone and extends the lifespan of the thin veneer board, making it perfect for serious players who want to get a lot of use out of the instrument. The original frets and nut are included.

The guitar has a thick neck and a lovely grain. Honestly, it’s the best sounding Strat I’ve ever had. But as I don’t really play electric guitars, it’s a waste just sitting here – it should be on stage! The guitar doesn’t come with a case, as it originally came with a Selmer export case that is no longer available. For shipping (though I hope it’s picked up in person), I’ll buy a secure case.
